The New Orleans Saints made a splash with the signing of wide receiver Dez Bryant. It appears quarterback Drew Brees may have played a major role in his decision.
Bryant was noticeably patient in picking his next landing spot. According to Herbie Teope of NFL.com, he says Brees and the supporting cast made it a rather easy choice:

Like I said, you got a guy like Michael Thomas, [Benjamin ] Watson, Alvin Kamara, Mark Ingram — you got those types of guys — little baby GOATs around here.”
There is certainly plenty of truth to Bryant's comments. Considering he has only primarily played with two other quarterbacks in his career in Tony Romo and Dak Prescott. It is safe to say that neither player is in the same class as Brees. He has added to his legacy by doing a marvelous job of evading Father Time as he is in the midst of an MVP-caliber season.
Of course, he has a stellar supporting cast to help him maintain his high level of play. The Saints boast one of the most high-powered offenses in the entire league. Not only do they possess a dynamic 1-2 punch in the backfield with Alvin Kamara and Mark Ingram, but wide receiver Mike Thomas has established himself as one of the elite players at his position as well.
The arrival of Bryant gives them an added surplus of star power on offense. He will be looking to serve as a complementary option to Thomas moving forward.
