Throughout much of the season, the New Orleans Saints have been regardless as one of the favorites to contend for the Super Bowl.

However, the Saints have struggled over the last two weeks with their offense not producing at the same level that helped them get off to a strong start to the year. Despite all that chatter, star quarterback Drew Brees had a strong message for the doubters that are testing the will of his team, according to the Associated Press.

“Bottom line is, regardless of how those games played out for the first three and a half quarters, we went into these last two games on the road, in the division, down at half, down going into the fourth quarter and found a way to win. Whether it’s a special teams play, a blocked punt, or a great punt down inside the 10, or a defensive stop, or the defense getting a turnover, or offensively possessing the ball and going and getting points and giving us the lead, everyone has contributed. And it’s good to feel like, man, battle tested. And regardless of the scenario or circumstances we encounter for the rest of the year or any given game, we always have a chance. We always have hope and we’re confident.”

New Orleans has looked like a much different team over the last couple of games, but they have found ways to continue to etch out wins. This was certainly the case this past Monday night as they had struggled to produce scoring drives against the Carolina Panthers but were able to squeeze out a 12-9 road win.

Brees was able to lead his team down the field for a touchdown drive late in the fourth quarter that put them ahead. It may not have been the most impressive win, but it did show that the Saints can still edge out games even when their offense isn't performing at tip-top shape.

It is clear that Brees has a tremendous amount of confidence that his team can get the job done regardless of the circumstances, which could be a huge factor in the playoffs.
