New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees is already one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL, and one of the best to ever play the game of football.
While he’s still searching for his second Super Bowl victory, he’s continued to be one of the more efficient and consistent players in the game, and one recently released stat shows just how good he really is.

Taking to Twitter earlier today, Pro Football Focus shared a stat that showed that Drew Brees had an absolutely insane 142.0 passer rating on play action passes. Not only was this the highest number per quarterbacks, but PFF also noted that no quarterback came close to matching it.
Article Continues BelowConverting play action passes isn’t the hardest thing to do, but doing it at such a high level is a huge accomplishment, and one that speaks to how in tune the entire team is. Not only does the offensive line have to be in sync, but the wide receivers and Brees must also be on the same page.
Although as we’ve seen this past season and in the past, Brees is notoriously friendly with all of his teammates, so it shouldn’t come as much as a surprise.
After making the playoffs for two consecutive seasons, the Saints are now looking to make the final hurdle to the Super Bowl that has eluded them after their last win in 2010. Despite a heartbreaking loss in the NFC Championship Game to the Los Angeles Rams last year, the Saints have more than enough talent to continue being one of the best teams in the NFC.
With superstars at pretty much every position on the team, and with a future Hall of Fame quarterback leading the way, the Saints might finally be ready to claim their next title.
