Drew Brees has been one of the best quarterbacks in NFL history and has done it the right way. Very few players in the history of the game have had the kind of respect from around the league that the New Orleans Saints' quarterback does. That has made the records he has broken that much better for him.

This afternoon against the Cincinnati Bengals, Brees reached yet another career milestone.

New Orleans took to their official Twitter account to share that Brees had officially passed Brett Favre for second place on the all-time passing touchdowns list. He only trails Peyton Manning now.

Even at 39 years old, Brees has shown no signs of slowing down. He is still firing the football at full strength and has led the Saints to being one of the best teams in the NFL once again this season.

Coming into this week's game against the Bengals, Brees had completed 76.3 percent of his pass attempts for 2,336 yards, 18 touchdowns, and just one interception. At the time of this writing, Brees had completed 20 of his 23 passes for 264 yards, three touchdowns, and no interceptions in a blowout against the Bengals.

New Orleans is hoping that Brees can play at least a few more seasons. That seems entirely possible with the way he is playing this year.

All of that being said, Brees now sits just 30 passing touchdowns behind Manning. He will very likely pass Manning at some point next season to become the new career leader in passing touchdowns.

Congratulations go out to Drew Brees and hopefully, we will get to see him play at this level for a few more seasons at least.
