The New Orleans Saints moved to 2-1 with their clutch win over the Atlanta Falcons in Week 3. Needless to say, quarterback Drew Brees was at the forefront of their success with another vintage performance.

Brees has been optimistic about his talent level despite his old age, and according to ESPN's Jordan Raanan, the 39-year-old is confident he can physically withstand the grind of the NFL until he is 45 years old.

This is certainly a bold claim from Brees. However, it does not appear to be too far-fetched given how he looked in Week 3. The veteran has acknowledged that his playing days are numbered at this stage in his career. Regardless, he is still convinced he can play at a high level well into his 40s.

Brees has solidified that notion thus far this season. He enjoyed his best game yet against Atlanta after completing 39-of-49 passes for three touchdowns. He also managed to tack on two more rushing touchdowns, one of which came via spin off two would-be tacklers. The future Hall of Famer has shown no signs of slowing down.

Of course, this may not be the type of news quarterback Teddy Bridgewater wants to hear. While it is too early to assume Bridgewater will be the successor to Brees, New Orleans did go out of its way to bring him in after a promising offseason. However, it is clear the Saints are ready to roll with their franchise player under center until the wheels fall off.
