New Orleans Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas has been rated as the NFL's top receiver through the first 14 weeks of the regular season.

Thomas has certainly played a significant role in New Orleans' 11-2 record this year, as he's posted 102 receptions for 1,218 receiving yards while racking up eight touchdowns.

The third-year pro is coming off his fifth game of the season where he's earned double-digit receptions, with Thomas grabbing 11 of 13 targets for 98 yards in the Week 14 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

His string of solid performances has not only helped the team win games, but it's also helped him garner the top receiver grade in the league from Pro Football Focus.

That's an impressive list of receivers, so Thomas being at the top just shows how valuable he's been to the New Orleans offense this season.

Of course, it's an offense that's filled with playmakers across the board, but there's no doubt that Thomas is the most dangerous receiving weapon on the roster.

Thomas and company are still trying to stay on track when it comes to locking up potential home-field advantage in the NFC, and the remaining schedule may give them a good chance to do just that.

New Orleans will head to Carolina for a showdown with the Panthers on Monday night, and with Ron Rivera's team riding a long losing streak, that game doesn't look as intimidating as it did earlier in the season.

After that, the Saints will host the Pittsburgh Steelers before a rematch with the Panthers in Week 17.
