New Orleans Saints All-Pro wide receiver Michael Thomas remains in the midst of one of the stranger seasons in recent memory. He has dealt with a slew of issues in 2020. However, that apparently doesn't mean that Thomas isn't still very much in tune with what the Saints are doing despite being forced to watch yet another outing from home.
With the Saints taking on the Chicago Bears in Week 8, Thomas quickly reacted to his team's opponent taking advantage of yet another controversial call made by the officials.

The Saints always seem to find themselves on the completely wrong side of history when it comes to controversial calls — especially in big games. With the Saints and Bears knotted at 23 points apiece late in the game on Sunday afternoon in Chicago, even in the absence of Thomas, New Orleans couldn't catch a break with the officials on a non-fumble which certainly appeared to be a fumble:
The NFL needs to make this fumble reviewable. This is fumble and should be #Saints football #NOvsCHI pic.twitter.com/O1VCwpKjD9

If such a call ultimately had cost the Saints a victory, and a much-needed one at that — the rival Tampa Bay Buccaneers are red hot at the moment — Thomas and company would have taken it up with the league.
Fortunately, the Saints won 26-23 on a 35-yard field goal from Wil Lutz. Still, Thomas's reaction is something Saints fans identify with.
Most infamously, the Saints were on the wrong end of quite the controversial call against the Los Angeles Rams a few years back. With the Saints and Rams squaring off in the NFC Championship Game with a trip to the Super Bowl on the line, New Orleans did not get a pass interference call to go their way when it clearly should have — which has since sparked a never-ending link between the NFC South franchise and poor officiating.
