Another notable free agent is up for grabs and the New Orleans Saints are making significant moves to land him in the coming days. Defensive end Jadeveon Clowney recently met with some members of the Saints front office which further strengthened the rumors of him possibly playing in New Orleans in the upcoming season.
New Orleans Football reporter Nick Underhill tweeted an Instagram post which proved that Clowney recently met with general manager Mickey Loomis and head coach Sean Payton, among others, in Houston:

Jadeveon Clowney was reportedly asking teams to sign him for a tag of $20 million which was eventually brought down to a discounted $17 million. The Saints are clearly interested in him but their agreement to pay him with the said tag remains to be a question. The Tennessee Titans are also possible suitors while a reunion with the Seattle Seahawks is not totally out of the picture as well.

The former South Carolina product is coming off a down year where he tallied 21 total tackles, 3 sacks, and 4 forced fumbles through 13 appearances for the Seahawks last season. Despite the dip in his numbers, Clowney still managed to be named as a Pro Bowl alternate in his sixth season in the league.
All eyes will be on the Saints to see if they can seal a deal with the veteran defensive end with over a week to go before their opening game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
