New York Jets head coach Adam Gase says that running back Le'Veon Bell is good to go and will practice on Saturday, according to Rich Cimini of ESPN NFL Nation. He did not practice Friday.
Bell has been dealing with a shoulder issue. He went for an MRI on Thursday, and no serious damage was revealed.
Gase said that Bell's injury had nothing to do with the fact that he played every snap in the Jets' Week 1 loss against the Buffalo Bills, saying that it was a result of Bell being “over-aggressive” in practice on Wednesday.
Bell carried the ball 17 times for 60 yards while catching six passes for 32 yards and a touchdown last weekend.
The 27-year-old signed a four-year deal with New York back in March after sitting out the entire 2018 campaign with the Pittsburgh Steelers due to a contract dispute.

In addition, he hauled in 85 receptions for 655 yards and a couple of touchdowns, en route to a Pro Bowl appearance and a First-Team All-Pro selection.
Bell, who played his collegiate football at Michigan State, was originally selected by the Steelers in the second round (48th pick overall) of the 2013 NFL Draft.
He made three Pro Bowl appearances while notching First-Team All-Pro honors twice during his tenure in Pittsburgh, with his best season coming in 2014 when he registered 1,361 yards and eight touchdowns while snaring 83 balls for 854 yards and three scores.
The Jets will take on the Cleveland Browns on Monday night.
