New York Jets running back Le'Veon Bell has made his message clear to coach Adam Gase, don't hold him back, he is ready to go full speed.
Gase was asked about his plans for Bell in week one, and he said he didn't have an exact plan on how he would use him but said that Bell knows how he wants to be used.
“We’ll see how the game goes,” Gase said Wednesday via the New York Daily News. “I can’t predict how many plays we’re going to have. But I will say this: I spoke to him yesterday. He said, ‘Don’t hold back.’ So he feels like he’s ready to go. I think he’s pretty excited to get out there.”
It is a fair question because Bell hasn't been on an NFL field in over 20 months, and running him out their full speed right away could come back and bite the team. He also could take the first hit, be fine and go onto have a big game with a full workload.

“Seeing him out on the field? I love it,” Gase said. “It’s going to be fun. It’s one thing to call plays in practice, but to know that you have him back there. Possibly going back and watching some Pittsburgh tape just to remind ourselves who that is back there. It’s a good feeling.”
If the Jets decide to limit Bell in week one, it shouldn't be long before he is taking the majority of the carries.
