New York Jets running back Le'Veon Bell is undergoing an MRI on Monday because of his knee, as head coach Adam Gase told Rich Cimini of ESPN. The team is still awaiting the result of the test.

The Jets are currently at the lowest point that they've been all season and Bell needing an MRI certainly doesn't help things. They are coming off a 26-18 loss to the previously winless Miami Dolphins and have now lost three consecutive games since defeating the Dallas Cowboys in Week 6 with 24-22 being the final score.

Prior to the conclusion of the NFL trade deadline, Bell found his name being included in rumors. It was reported by Adam Schefter of ESPN that the Green Bay Packers, Houston Texans, Kansas City Chiefs, and Pittsburgh Steelers were ‘in the mix' for a possible trade for him.

So far this season, Bell has appeared in eight games with the Jets. He has recorded 415 rushing yards and one rushing touchdown on 125 rush attempts. He has also recorded 40 receptions translating to 242 receiving yards and one receiving touchdown.

The production that Bell has provided the Jets is significantly lower than what he brought the Steelers in 2017 as he is currently projected to finish with under 1,000 rushing yards and just two rushing and receiving touchdowns  The underwhelming supporting cast has been a significant factor in that decline in his lack of elite impact.

The next game on the Jets' schedule features a matchup against the New York Giants. It is currently unknown if Bell's knee injury will restrict him from being able to play in Week 10, but updates are expected to come throughout the week.
