When Le'Veon Bell signed a four-year deal with the New York Jets back in March, this is surely not what he was expecting.

Whether it has been being mentioned in trade rumors twice since signing over the fact that he is averaging a meager 3.2 yards per carry, the 2019 campaign has not been kind to Bell, and now, his frustration may be boiling over.

Last week, Bell carried the ball just nine times with three catches during a 29-15 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars, well below the amount of touches to which he is accustomed.

After the game, Bell did not speak to reporters, and now, he is saying it was because he was not happy about his usage.

“Yeah, I was frustrated, so I didn't want to be in front of the media and say something that everybody could run with,” Bell said, according to Rich Cimini of ESPN.com. “I was frustrated. We lost the game and I didn't feel like I was involved. Plus, I feel like that was a game we kind of let go. I didn't want to say anything I would regret because I was angry at the time.”

Bell added that he expressed his concerns to head coach Adam Gase, saying that the two “had a good little talk.”

On the season overall, Bell has rushed for 349 yards and a touchdown while catching 32 passes for 187 yards and a score.

For a three-time Pro Bowler and two-time First-Team All-Pro, that is simply not enough. However, to be fair to Bell, his lack of production is hardly all his fault, as the Jets' offense as a whole has been an unmitigated disaster in 2019.

New York will take on the Miami Dolphins on Sunday.
