New York Jets running back Le'Veon Bell will not practice on Wednesday due to a knee injury, according to Brian Costello of The New York Post.

Bell suffered the injury during the Jets' loss to the Miami Dolphins this past Sunday. While the injury is not believed to be serious, it is enough of a concern for New York to hold him out of practice.

Bell carried the ball 17 times for 66 yards while logging eight catches for 55 yards against the Dolphins.

On the season overall, he has rushed for just 415 yards and a touchdown while averaging a meager 3.3 yards per carry. He has also caught 40 passes for 242 yards and a score.

The 27-year-old signed a lucrative four-year deal with the Jets back in March, but much like everything else in New York this season, it has not gone well thus far.

Bell has yet to record more than 70 rushing yards in a game this season, something he has only done once through nine weeks.

For a running back who has made three Pro Bowl appearances while earning a couple of First-Team All-Pro selections throughout his NFL career, this is obviously not the type of production the Jets expected.

To be fair, Bell's shaky output is hardly all his fault.

New York's offense has been brutal as a whole this year, as its offensive line has been porous and the quarterback situation has been questionable, to say the least.

The Jets are just 1-7 on the year and will take on the New York Giants next Sunday.
