The New York Jets could be in the market for a running back this offseason but according to Manish Mehta of the New York Daily Post, one guy they won't be pursuing is former Kareem Hunt. Hunt is currently on the commissioner's exempt list and will probably face a suspension to start next season after a video surfaced of him pushing and striking a woman.
According to Mehta, Jets general manager, Mike Maccagnan is able to overlook many things to sign players but domestic violence is one of them.
Two years ago the Jets took Joe Mixon off their draft board after a video surfaced of him punching a woman when he was still with the Oklahoma Sooners.

That’s something that for me and my wife, we’ve had a personal experience with that. I would say, simply, we don't take it lightly.”
A close friend of Maccagnan died in a domestic violence murder-suicide nine years ago and ever since that it has had a huge impact on his life. There is no question that Hunt is one of the best running backs in the league talent wise but his off the field issues are a huge red flag.
Even though Hunt would help the team on the field it would leave a huge blemish on the team and it's not a road the team wants to go down.
