New York Jets wide receiver Robby Anderson is dealing with a minor calf injury and according to coach Adam Gase is considered day-to-day. Anderson missed Tuesday's practice with the injury, and it's unclear at this point when he will be able to return.

Anderson is expected to be the Jets top receiver this year, and he and quarterback Sam Darnold have a great relationship already. The hope is that he will be back by the Jets first regular-season game, but if he's not, it would be a significant loss for the Jets.

“I don’t know if it’s a concern,” Gase said via Pro Football Talk. “Anytime you have a soft tissue, it’s an unknown. That’s why its day-to-day. We’ll just keep, he’ll keep working on that and hopefully we get him back for the practices and get him a full week go when he feels good and we’re ready to roll.”

Calf injuries are something that can linger, and it's not something the Jets want him to be dealing with the entire season so expect the team to be extra careful with this injury.

Right now it's a minor injury, and the last thing the team wants is for it to turn into a major injury. Last season Anderson caught 50 passes for 762 yards and six touchdowns. As long as he can stay healthy this season, a steady jump in his production should be expected.
