The Dallas Cowboys and Ezekiel Elliott seem to be at a standstill in terms of their contract negotiations, and while the team believes a deal will happen, Elliott seems prepared to wait until the Cowboys cave in. even if it costs him some regular season games.
"I talked to Zeke's agent yesterday, and he said, 'It's possible. It really is possible he will miss some games.' He wants to play, but this is business. Zeke's the best player on that football team. If he misses 4 weeks, I guarantee you they'll probably win 1." — @EricDickerson pic.twitter.com/vBtaYuuVLW

Elliott’s holdout throughout training camp has been the most notable, and he has only until tomorrow to return before he loses an accredited season in the league when it comes to free agency status.
While he likely won’t be returning to camp tomorrow, Elliott is a crucial part of what makes the Cowboys offense so lethal, and should he miss extended time, his absence would definitely be felt.
After Elliott, the Cowboys will also have to look at extending the contracts of quarterback Dak Prescott and wide receiver Amari Cooper. While both will likely be wanting large deals as well, they have yet to hold out in the way Elliott has.
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is optimistic all three players will get the deals they desire, but with the Cowboys' regular-season opener fast approaching, only time will tell if they get them.
