Amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, questions have arisen as to what exactly the upcoming NFL season will look like or if it will even happen in the first place. One thing the league did get out in front of: canceling all international NFL games.
Per ESPN's Adam Schefter, the NFL is enacting changes for the 2020 season. In the last few seasons, select NFL teams have traveled to play games in other countries such as the United Kingdom and Mexico. These games have been successful in their respective countries and have been used to spread the game of American Football on an international level.
However, due to concerns over COVID-19 and the safety of players, staff members, and fans, the NFL League Office announced on Monday in a press release that they will play no international games in the upcoming season.

The NFL planned to play one game in Mexico City this season at Azteca Stadium and another four games in London at two different stadiums. The Atlanta Falcons, Arizona Cardinals, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Miami Dolphins had all already announced they would play games internationally this season, but they will now have to play those games at their home stadiums back in the United States.
