In what's already been a brutal start to the NFL offseason for some teams, it goes without saying that there are some serious changes in order this summer. This is especially true with all the coaching changes that are set to take place in 2022 and some of the firings that have completely taken the football world by surprise.

With the playoffs taking place next weekend, there's bound to be several teams that'll start planning for 2022 NFL Free Agency, but for the time being we'll take a look at four teams that are in dire need of a new head coach ahead of next season. Let's now take an in-depth look at the four most attractive NFL head coaching vacancies in 2022, ranked.

Attractive NFL Coach Openings

4. Chicago Bears

They've got a promising young quarterback in Justin Fields, a receiving corps of Allen Robinson, Darnell Mooney, Jimmy Graham, and Jakeem Grant, and a running back tandem of David Montgomery and Tarik Cohen. The Bears have a sound offensive unit that could thrive under the right system. Not to mention their defense is loaded with Pro Bowl talents like Khalil Mack, Robert Quinn, Akiem Hicks, Roquan Smith, and Eddie Jackson.

If they can find the right coaching fit to steer this team in the right direction, then the sky's the limit for what this deep and talented Bears team can accomplish next season and beyond. Someone who can properly utilize their talent pool to the fullest extent and allow them to grow and develop into a contending team is exactly what the Bears need and should appeal to any coach that's looking for a change of scenery or hoping to make their way to back an NFL sideline.

3. Denver Broncos

After getting off to a hot start to kick off their season with four straight wins, the Denver Broncos began to regress and were never able to get back to where they started. Even with the youth and athleticism this team possesses on both ends of the field, it was hard for them to keep pace in the ultra competitive AFC West. However, with the skill and depth that the Broncos currently possess, they definitely have shown the potential to be amongst the NFL elite.

So if they can find the right guy to transform this playoff hopeful into a winning team over the next few seasons, then watch out for the Broncos to outduel the Chiefs, Raiders, and Chargers and claim the division crown. These are all factors that should be highly enticing for every coaching candidate that Denver meets with. Plus at this rate, it may not be much longer before the Broncos become dark horse title contenders.

2. Minnesota Vikings

They were within one game of making the playoffs and were in prime position to go on a surprise playoff run this season, but untimely injuries and health and safety protocols forfeited their chances of making this happen. Kirk Cousins was starting to find his groove late in the season and Justin Jefferson had been playing lights out all year long, but with a few mishaps just ahead of a pivotal match-up with their long time NFC North nemesis, they were unable to advance beyond the regular season.

Between Cousins, Jefferson, Dalvin Cook, Adam Thielen, K.J. Osborn, Tyler Conklin, Everson Griffin, Danielle Hunter, Patrick Peterson, and Harrison Smith, the Vikings boast a ton of superstar talent that has been horribly underutilized and if they can land a seasoned head coach who has the patience and poise to make it all come together, then this would prove to be a very appealing opportunity for the next head coach of the Minnesota Vikings.

1. Miami Dolphins

With a rising star in Tua Tagovailoa and elite playmakers like Jaylen Waddle, Mike Gesicki, DeVante Parker, Xavien Howard, Byron Jones, and Jerome Baker, it goes without saying that the Miami Dolphins are far too talented to be missing the playoffs once again this season. However, they did win eight of their last nine games to finish out the season and showed major strides and improvements under the direction of Brian Flores.

After falling just win one shy of making the 2022 NFL Playoffs, it can definitely be expected that this team will elevate their play to the next level under a new coaching regime. Plus who wouldn't want to build a winning environment with a star-studded roster in South Beach? That in itself should leave the Dolphins with plenty of suitors to choose from during their coaching search over the next few weeks.
