Former Seattle Seahawks defensive end Dion Jordan has been suspended 10-games for violating the PED policy of the NFL, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.

Despite Jordan’s appeal of the suspension, the free agent will have to serve it before suiting up for any team.

According to Pelissero, the 10-game suspension comes as the result of Jordan’s use of Adderall, a medication that Jordan claims he has been approved to take as a treatment for his ADHD.

Unfortunately for Jordan, however, his use of Adderal through the therapeutic use exemption had expired, and therefore the suspension was handed down.

“I made a mistake,” Jordan said on Tuesday (via NFL.com). “I feel like the person that I am, I'm ready to move forward, I've been ready to move forward, with this specific issue. I've been working really hard with myself outside of football, and I can see the progress as a young man, as Dion Jordan, I can see it.”

While Jordan has had a history of drug and alcohol issues, he claims now that he is completely sober and dedicated to living life in a healthier way. Still, he does admit that he hadn’t been taking Adderall for months and knew that his exemption had expired, which led to a handful of positive tests for the NFL.

According to Jordan, it was done in an effort to “dial” himself in, but he’ll now be serving the punishment for it.

Despite the suspension issue, Jordan apparently has many teams looking at him. According to Pelissero, eight to ten teams have reached out with interest in signing the former top-five pick, and Jordan is still free to participate in any offseason activities before his suspension begins.

Once his 10-game ban is served, Jordan will look to make a huge impact on whatever team gives him a chance.
