Former NFL running back DeMarco Murray was out of action this season after retiring following the 2017 season. Murray was an outstanding running back in college at Oklahoma and had several great seasons with the Cowboys in his earlier years.

Now, Murray is being considered for another job, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

He could be a fantastic coach and was surely a great player at his position. His retirement was a bit of a shock to many people as he only played for seven seasons and was very good in most of them.

The University of Arizona could benefit from a coach like Murray who presumably has vast knowledge regarding the running back position.

Murray was incredible in 2014 as he won the league's rushing title, Offensive Player of the Year, was named to First Team All-Pro, as well as the league leader in rushing touchdowns. Murray had 1,845 yards and 13 rushing touchdowns behind the league's best offensive line during the time.

The Cowboys surprisingly allowed their prized running back to walk after his fantastic season. Murray played with the Philadelphia Eagles for one season and the Tennessee Titans for two seasons.

The Titans got one fantastic season out of Murray and he was named to his third Pro Bowl in 2016, so when he announced his retirement it was a bit of a shock despite a disappointing 2017 season. Murray's playing days may be over, but his future in football will carry on whether it's analysis or coaching.
