In the last several months, former NFL quarterback Johnny Manziel has made a concerted effort to turn his life around in order to get some stability and work toward a chance of making a comeback. He has spent the last several weeks focused strictly on getting his football career back on track.

However, Manziel has suffered a bit of a medical scare after he was hospitalized on Monday morning due to a change in his medication that he takes to treat his bipolar disorder, according to TMZ Sports.

Sources connected to the QB tell us … he was admitted to a hospital in Humble, TX on Monday. He had been in the area to attend the JMBLYA concert with friends after playing in a golf tournament hosted by friend and former Texas A&M teammate Mike Evans.

Manziel's rep, Denise Michaels, tells us … “It seems like he had a reaction to an adjustment in his prescription. He’s fine and headed home.”

It was a brief medical incident that Manziel is now home recovering from that he has since sent out a response via social media to give further detail about what transpired.

This is a little setback but it shouldn't derail Manziel from his quest to get his football career back in order as the CFL is an option as he has a standing offer from the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. He may be continuing to hold out in order to get another shot to latch onto an NFL team this offseason as training camp nears in the next couple of weeks.

There has been some slight interest in his services, but nothing has yet to materialize. Nonetheless, he is stuck to a stern path to getting his life back in order that he's hoping could translate in him getting another shot in the NFL.
