The war of words that happened between Jalen Ramsey and Marcus Peters was one of the biggest talking points in the Los Angeles Rams' defeat to the Baltimore Ravens. Sean McVay finds himself in quite an awkward position as he coached Peters prior to Ramsey's arrival from the Jacksonville Jaguars.
However, this gives him a unique point of view since he knows how the two players operate. He didn't take anything that happened between them as something that he should be concerned about and just brushed it off as the two showing the world their desire to win football games.
Pro Football Talk's Charean Williams wrote about what McVay thought of mini-fight the two had:
Article Continues BelowSomeone asked McVay if their disagreement “falls in the same category as the Steelers and Browns fight?” The Rams coach was flabbergasted.
“What, just them talking back and forth? I’m not sure,” McVay said. “Guys have fun. That’s a part of it. What we always talk about is, as long as what goes on doesn’t take away from what we are trying to get done as a team, those are things that competitors [do], they go back and forth, but I think that’s a little bit of a different scenario than kind of what occurred in that game.”
Ramsey has been a solid addition to the Rams defense. He's notched 24 tackles, two pass deflections, and one forced fumble in the five games he's played for the defending NFC champions. Meanwhile, Peters is having a wonderful time with the Ravens. He's completed 26 tackles, five pass deflections, three interceptions, and two pick-6's for 178 yards.
