The Green Bay Packers drafted Devonte Wyatt, a defensive tackle out of Georgia, with the 28th overall pick. Most people applauded the Packers for drafting him because of his ability to stop opposing running games. However, former Baltimore Ravens linebacker Bart Scott presented another reason why it was such a good pick.
Bart Scott: NFL teams need tough guys, Ravens always had a couple players with felonies. https://t.co/et3lM0V4Kp

Scott was part of ESPN Radio's live broadcast of the draft. He pointed to the fact that Wyatt was charged with misdemeanor criminal trespassing as a great reason for being drafted, as New York Post writer Ryan Glasspiegel noted.
““They need to get tough up the middle. I know why they may have some off-the-field issues, but you have to get some tough guys. Everybody can’t be choir boys,” said Scott.
He then went on to relate it to his Ravens' teams.

In 2000, Ray Lewis plead guilty to obstruction of justice after two friends reportedly stabbed two other men to death the week of the Super Bowl. Four years later, Jamal Lewis brokered a cocaine with a government informant and sentenced to four months in prison.
Nevertheless, this sentiment expressed by Bart Scott is not something shared by a lot of people. It's certain to draw a lot of criticism for the former Ravens player.
