Baltimore Ravens superstar quarterback Lamar Jackson is scheduled to appear at mandatory mini camp starting next week. It will be the first time the coaches and players will get to see him on the field this offseason. Jackson opted not to show up for the three weeks or OTA's (organized team activities), missing all eight voluntary workouts.
On Wednesday, Ravens head coach squashed any worries letting the media know that he fully expects his quarterback to be there next week, and in great shape.
ESPN writer Jamison Hensley captured his thoughts. “I know he's working hard … I fully expect him to come back in great shape,” Harbaugh said. “I'm sure he's throwing. I'm sure he's doing a good job. When he gets back here, we'll be rolling with Lamar.”

Other franchise quarterbacks like Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen and Derek Carr, all received massive new contracts. Although Jackson has not stated a reason publicly why he has not participated in OTA's this year, it's very possible it is gesturing on his part.
But it is only a matter of time before a deal gets done. It would be shocking if Baltimore and Jackson did not come to some type of deal that would make both sides happy. It's been projected that he could earn in the range of $180 million over four years.
Jackson is coming off of his worst statistical season since becoming the full-time starter. Some of that had to do with injuries though, as the Ravens quarterback missed five games with injury last season.
