Dwayne Haskins fell to Washington Redskins at No. 15 in the NFL Draft, but former coach Ryan Day knows Haskins will succeed. Day made an appearance on Good Morning Football and pointed out all the good things Haskins has shown on film, including his size and how accurate he is with the football.
“There's a lot of things that go into it, when you watch Dwayne throw the ball — he looks NFL. He just looks that way, he's got good size, his accuracy and ability to locate a football is unbelievable. The ball comes out of his hand quickly, he sees the field, really good anticipation, really good touch. Great handle for the game too, his football IQ really, as the season went on and he got into it — this is his first year ever playing — to throw 50 touchdown passes in 14 games in your first year of playing is really remarkable. Just to think about where he came in such a short period of time, I'm really proud of him, but he has all the tools it takes. I haven't seen the other guys, but I can tell you right now, he's NFL.”
The Redskins hope that Day is right about Dwayne Haskins; if he is, the Redskins got a steal at number 15. There was some talk that the Redskins were going to move up in the draft to get Haskins, but the way the draft fell they were able to get him with the 15th pick.
