The Washington football franchise wants nothing more than to move on from all the reported transgressions. Less than a week after a report of widespread sexual harassment allegations in the organization triggered an abrupt departure, Washington has hired a new lead voice for its radio broadcast. The team decided to go with Julie Donaldson, making her the first female member of an NFL team's radio broadcast booth.

According to NBC Sports Washington, anchor and reporter Julie Donaldson is being hired by the team to lead the radio crew.

She’s replacing the longtime voice of the team Larry Michael, who was one of the men named in the report. He “retired” after a 16-year run with the team, a day before the Washington Post report outlined allegations of his inappropriate workplace conduct.

Before coming to the nation's capital, Donaldson was previously a reporter for SNY based in New York. She began her career in Miami with broadcast giant FOX Sports and has also worked as a pre-game host for the Miami Heat.

She was an anchor, reporter, and host throughout a decade-long career with NBC Sports Washington. She has covered major stories and nearly every sports team in the Washington-Baltimore area.

Donaldson's previous stints include hosting NBC Sports Washington’s live Washington Wizards gameday shows. She also has experiences outside of the sports world, covering for NBC Sports Washington news, analysis, and entertainment shows.

In her new job, Donaldson will lead the radio broadcast team, serve in other on-air roles, and hold a senior-level position in the organization.

Several more changes are expected for the Washington Redskins in the coming weeks as the organization is looking to put their past behind them and move towards a better future instead.
