The Tennessee Titans fell short of making the Super Bowl by losing to the Kansas City Chiefs, ending an improbably incredible playoff run that saw them take down giants in the New England Patriots and the Baltimore Ravens. While the performance is definitely something they should be proud of, Mike Vrabel and the rest of the team would tell you that they'd rather make it all the way.
The press naturally asked the head coach about what happened during the 35-24 loss that they endured at the hands of Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs. He was asked why they weren't able to contain the dynamic quarterback, and ESPN's Turron Davenport noted his reply.

Vrabel believed that his teams were able to perform well for some snaps. The game was close during the first half as they were only down by four.

Meanwhile, Derrick Henry and Ryan Tannehill were stopped from completing drives in the third quarter. That proved to be too much as they failed to come back after that.
Mahomes had a phenomenal game in the pocket for the Chiefs. He finished with 394 passing yards and three passing touchdowns. He was also effective when the play broke down as he scrambled for 53 yards and one rushing touchdown in only eight attempts. He was able to do whatever he wanted on the field.
While it's disappointing for the Titans that their fairy tale had to end in such fashion, they at least lost to the best team in the AFC.
