Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz underwent a scan on his back that was inconclusive and is now scheduled to underdog an MRI on Thursday to try and help figure out what is causing the back injury that has bothered him for the last few weeks, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

According to Eagles coach Doug Pederson Wentz is experiencing “soreness” and “tightness” in his back and he wasn't able to practice Wednesday.

“We're going to rest him and continue to evaluate him and make sure he's good,” Pederson said via ESPN.

Wentz also appeared in the injury report with the same injury back a couple days during October but this is the first time he has had to miss practice because of it.

“Sometimes he just gets a little sore, a little tight, and so we're just going to rest him today and evaluate him further,” Pederson said.

Pederson wouldn't give any further information about if Wentz would be able to go against the Los Angeles Rams, only saying they would take it a day at a time.

“We're going to focus on today, get through today,” Pederson said when asked if there's a chance Wentz will miss this game, “and see where he is at the end of the day.”

If he can't go it will be the Nick Foles show and that might not actually be the worst thing for this team. All Foles did last year was lead the Eagles to the Super Bowl and win the Super Bowl MVP award.
