The Philadelphia Eagles' Corey Clement wants to get his career back on the right track.
The fourth-year back missed most of last season due to a a shoulder injury. In fact, he was placed on injured reserve after Week 5 It seems like ages ago, but Clement played a major role in the team's Super Bowl LII win over the New England Patriots. The former undrafted free agent caught four passes for 100 yards in the Eagles' 41-33 victory during his rookie season.
However, fast forward three years later and Clement has totaled just 259 rushing yards to go along with 22 receptions for 192 yards. To put into perspective, the 25-year-old rushed for 321 yards and four touchdowns to go with 1o receptions for 123 yards and two touchdowns during his rookie season.
Needless to say, Clement wants to make it clear: he's going back to his “rookie mindset” entering the 2020 season.

Despite not being tendered as a restricted free agent, the Eagles brought back Clement on a one-year deal. The now-veteran running back actually drives the point home that he wants to end his career in Philadelphia.

“I want to be here. I want to retire here one day. This team means a lot me,” Clement said Thursday, in a video conference with reporters. “When I first found out the news that they weren’t going to tender me, I took it to heart a little bit, because Philly is home to me. I love the city with everything; if I could bleed green, I would.
Entering next season, Clement will have to beat out Boston Scott and Miles Sanders for snaps.
