Near the end of the Philadelphia Eagles' loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, Carson Wentz had to be checked for a hand injury.

After the game, Doug Pederson said he expects that Wentz will undergo more tests on his hand injury:

Wentz left the game for a short period of time due to injuring his hand while attempting to make a tackle. The only reason why the Eagles quarterback had to make the tackle was that he fumbled the ball and it was recovered by the Seahawks.

Immediately after the play, Wentz winced in pain and made his way to the blue medical tent on the sidelines. Nevertheless, he was able to finish the game under center after getting looked at by the medical staff.

In the game, Wentz finished with 256 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions. Above all, Wentz had trouble holding onto the ball, fumbling it three times and losing two of them.

The fourth-year quarterback almost had four fumbles in the game, but a penalty by Seattle negated the play. Over the past two weeks, Wentz has had two games that he would like to have back.

At the same time, hopefully Wentz's injury to his hand isn't anything serious. There will likely be more answers to how severe the injury is in the next couple of days.

With a loss in Week 12, Philadelphia is now 5-6 and in need of every win it can get to win the NFC East. Therefore, losing Carson Wentz for any amount of time would all but guarantee the Eagles' demise in the playoff race.
