The Philadelphia Eagles kept their playoff chances alive on Sunday night with a huge 30-23 road win over the Los Angeles Rams.
The Eagles were able to move past the Rams despite not having the services of star quarterback Carson Wentz due to a fractured back. Following Sunday's contest, head coach Doug Pederson left the door open on Wentz possibility being able to return to the field this season. (h/t Jeff Kerr of 247 Sports)

These chances for a return this season are likely tied to the Eagles' playoff chances as they are still in the thick of things sitting just a game out of the playoff picture right behind the Minnesota Vikings for the final playoff spot. They finish the season with matchups against the Houston Texans and Washington Redskins.
The fact that Philadelphia has not declared Wentz out for the season is a huge indicator that the possibility still remains for him to step in at some point in the final stretch of games. However, he is dealing with an injury that will need around three months to heal on its own. It may simply come down to pain tolerance as he was previously able to do so for the last several weeks before he had been checked upon the medical staff.
If he's unable to give it a go, the Eagles are more than comfortable to roll with backup Nick Foles as he has proven that he can lead the charge in Wentz's absence as was the case last year on the way to a Super Bowl win. Foles had a solid outing as he completed 24-of-31 passes for 270 yards with an interception against the Rams. There should be more clarity on this front in the coming days.
