Prior to the trade deadline earlier this week, the Philadelphia Eagles made the big splash move to acquire former Pro Bowl wide receiver Golden Tate from the Detroit Lions.
In his introductory press conference, Tate spoke quite highly of Pro Bowl quarterback Carson Wentz about what he brings to the table along with his excitement to work him, via Jeff Kerr of 247 Sports.

He wants to be great and from the outside-in that you can see a guy that make every throw, who can create some things with his legs and just needs some opportunity, some time back there and he'll make it happen. I'm excited to be around him and the other guys.”
Through his first three years in the league, Wentz has been the fast track to stardom as he has become one of the league's top young quarterback. He has demonstrated much poise in the pocket and command of the offense along with the ability to make every necessary throw. Wentz has the skill set and mental makeup that already elevated him among many of his peers to be one of the top quarterbacks in the league.
The addition of another proven asset in the passing game in Tate could provide a huge boost to the offense. The Eagles have struggled to score this season even with Wentz back into the fold ranking 22nd in the league with 22.3 points per game along with being 15th in passing.
Tate has a chance to step into a primary role in the passing attack that has seen him take off over the last four-plus years with the Lions putting together three 1,000 receiving yard campaigns. He has also been off to a strong start this year with 44 catches for 517 receiving yards and three touchdowns. This is an opportunity he has a chance to prove to be a crucial piece in helping the Eagles compete for another Super Bowl.
