Bell did not play at all this past season, as he held out due to a contract dispute with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
This marked the second year in a row that Bell was in a contract standoff with the Steelers, as he also held out through Week 1 of 2017 before returning and rushing for 1,268 yards and seven touchdowns while hauling in 85 receptions for 655 yards and a couple of scores en route to a Pro Bowl appearance and a First-Team All-Pro selection.
The 27-year-old, who played his collegiate football at Michigan State University, was originally selected by Pittsburgh in the second round (48th pick overall) of the 2013 NFL Draft.
Article Continues BelowHe had a relatively quiet rookie campaign, finishing with 860 yards and eight touchdowns while averaging a meager 3.5 yards per carry.
However, the following year, Bell racked up 1,361 yards while reaching the end zone eight times on the ground, catching 84 passes for 854 yards and three touchdowns. As a result, he made the Pro Bowl and earner First-Team All-Pro honors.
Bell then played in just six games in 2015 due to a suspension, but in 2016, he made yet another trip to Honolulu after totaling 1,268 yards and seven touchdowns as a rusher and snaring 75 balls for 616 yards and two scores.
The Eagles can definitely use some help in the ground game, as they ranked just 28th in the league in rushing offense this past season.
