Quarterback Nick Foles will forever be a hero in the City of Brotherly Love, leading the Philadelphia Eagles to their first-ever Super Bowl title in 2018. However, in spite of his recent success, his time in Philly appears to be coming to a close.

Here is the scoop on Foles, who is now back in the starting role after Carson Wentz went down (possibly for the season) with a stress fracture in his back.

The Eagles have a $20 million option on the signal-caller for next season, but only if Foles starts. With Wentz expected to make a full recovery, Foles will almost surely not be starting under center for Philadelphia in 2019, meaning he will probably be playing elsewhere by September, according to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport.

Foles can buy back the option by paying $2 million. The Eagles can also franchise him, although that would seem highly unlikely.

In two starts this season, Foles has thrown for 451 yards, a touchdown and an interception while completing 65.9 percent of his passes. He started three regular-season games for the Eagles in place of the injured Wentz last year, compiling 537 yards, five touchdowns, two picks and a completion percentage of 56.4 percent.

But, of course, Foles made his legend in the playoffs, winning three games (including the Super Bowl over the heavily favored New England Patriots) and throwing for 971 yards, six scores and a lone pick while completing 72.6 percent of his throws.

The soon-to-be-30-year-old entered the league in 2012, spending the first three seasons of his career in Philly before bouncing around between the then-St. Louis Rams and Kansas City Chiefs. He returned to the Eagles in 2017.

Over the course of his NFL tenure, Foles has thrown 62 touchdowns and 30 picks while registering a passer rating of 87.
