Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Nick Foles is expected to play in the team's NFC Wild Card game against the Chicago Bears after suffering bruised ribs in Week 17.
Foles was forced to leave early in the team's 24-0 win over the Washington Redskins due to the rib injury, which caused plenty of speculation as to the severity of the injury and whether he would be available should the Eagles clinch a playoff spot.
Of course, as we know now, Philly is back in the postseason after the Bears took care of business against the Minnesota Vikings.
And, it sounds like Foles should be ready to lead the charge once again on Sunday after tests revealed no significant damage, according to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network.
#Eagles QB Nick Foles has bruised ribs and tests today revealed no break, sources tell me and @RapSheet. The expectation is he’s good to go Sunday vs. the #Bears. I’ll be joining @gmfb from Philly shortly.

Foles was excellent down the stretch after returning under center following the injury to Carson Wentz. But, his impressive play is nothing new, as he came through with similar performances last season in leading the Eagles to a Super Bowl title.
He threw for six touchdowns in the final two games of the regular season, and his clutch factor is pretty much through the roof right now given his ability to deliver in key situations.
However, going up against a strong Chicago defense with bruised ribs isn't exactly an ideal setup, and there's no doubt that the Bears will look to get pressure early and often.
If Philly's offensive line can protect Foles, he should yet again have an opportunity to give the Eagles another monumental postseason victory.
