Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Nick Foles is not going to lift another Vince Lombardi Trophy this season, but his wallet just got a whole lot fatter.
According to Field Yates of ESPN, the Eagles will disregard Foles’ failure to satisfy the qualifier for a $1 million bonus and will give him the money anyway.

To refresh, Foles, according to his contract with the Eagles that was restructured last year, was supposed to pocket a million dollars if he played at least 33 percent of the team’s snaps in the regular season and if Philadelphia makes the playoffs. While the Eagles were able to get a game schedule beyond Week 17, Foles only played in 357 total snaps for just 32.69 percent – awfully short of the requirement that would trigger the bonus.
Fortunately for Foles, the Eagles know how to treat a franchise hero, the backup quarterback who stepped up to the plate and led Philadelphia to its first-ever Super Bowl win last year by beating the New England Patriots in the NFL’s grandest stage.
Foles finished the 2018 season with 1,413 passing yards and seven touchdowns against four interceptions.
