The Philadelphia Eagles have reached the postseason in back-to-back years while the first of these two instances infamously resulted in a Super Bowl title. As a result of the team's recent stretch of success, the Eagles appear primed to do whatever it takes to retain the majority of its talent — cornerback Ronald Darby included.

According to a weekend report from Ian Rapoport of NFL.com, the Eagles would very much like to retain Darby's services this offseason as the veteran defensive back is slated to become an unrestricted free agent this offseason.

With Darby, unfortunately, coming off a torn ACL, the Eagles still want to keep him around as the NFC East franchise seemingly realized what it was missing in his absence. Even though Philadelphia returned to the playoffs last season, the Eagles struggled at times, mostly due to injuries like the one that Darby encountered in November 2018.

Even with the Eagles coming off back-to-back postseason appearances, Philadelphia has continued to be linked to a variety of players both on the trade market and free agent market. Perhaps most notably, the Eagles were said to be players in regards to former Pittsburgh Steelers and current Oakland Raiders wide receiver Antonio Brown, which should put the NFC East franchise in play for fellow wideout Golden Tate as well.

It is also worth noting that the wheeling and dealing has already begun in Philadelphia. Earlier in the week, the team reportedly agreed to trade veteran defensive end Michael Bennett to the heralded New England Patriots.
