The Philadelphia Eagles aren't exactly a quarterback-needy team this year, as they still kicking the tires on Jalen Hurts. However, that's not stopping them from getting a closer look at a signal-caller who could be a first-round target for the team, with Ole Miss product Matt Corral landing in Philly Wednesday for a visit with the team.

Corral is the QB most likely to be drafted by the Eagles. The question is if they like him enough to take him in the 1st to get the 5th year option. pic.twitter.com/lPenGaaaor

Corral improved his draft stock with a prolific junior season with the Rebels in 2021, spearheading an Ole Miss passing attack that averaged 272.8 yards per game. With him under center, the Rebels finished the regular season 29th in the nation with 32.0 points per contest average. Corral boasts of a big arm with decent accuracy, making him a tasty target for teams looking for a quarterback they could groom into becoming a QB1 down the road. He concluded his college career with 8,287 passing yards, 57 touchdowns against 23 interceptions with a 67.3 completion percentage.
If the Eagles take Corral (Philly has the 15th and 18th picks in the first round), he could be viewed as a potential challenger to the throne of Hurts, who currently occupies the top spot in the Eagles' quarterback pecking order that also has Gardner Minshew.
Apart from Corral, other quarterbacks prospects with first-round potential are Malik Willis, Kenny Pickett, Desmond Ridder, and Sam Howell.
