Super Bowl LII provides a bit of nostalgia for fans of both the Philadelphia Eagles and New England Patriots. However, for NFL legend Terrell Owens, it brings up some painful memories.
Owens enjoyed a tumultuous tenure in Philadelphia during their run to Super Bowl XXXIX. On Tuesday, he expressed remorse for some of the things he said and did as a member of the Eagles during an event with Thuzio, although he maintains that he doesn't regret them:
“We do a lot of things when we're young and stupid… I know personally for myself there are some things I could have done differently throughout my career. Not to the point to say that I regret anything.”
Owens added that he believes quarterback Donovan McNabb was under-appreciated.

It became clear that the Eagles chances at a trip to the Super Bowl increased exponentially with the addition of Owens prior to the 2004 NFL season. Both he and McNabb combined to form one of the most dynamic duos in the league for two seasons before it all came crashing down. As a result, it was not long before Owens was essentially run out of town for his criticisms of McNabb.
To make matters worse, he subsequently joined the Eagles' division rivals in the Dallas Cowboys with the hopes of getting a small dose of revenge.
Although Owens will go down as perhaps the biggest prima donna of his generation, there is no denying that he is one of the greatest receivers in NFL history.
