The Philadelphia Eagles are in need of help in their receiving corps. That isn't much of a secret.
As a result, many are expecting the Eagles to go with a wide receiver in the first round of the NFL Draft this week, but who is their main target?
Arizona State's Brandon Aiyuk seems to think it could be him:
“That’s a big possibility,” said Aiyuk, via John Clark of NBC Sports Philadelphia. “I definitely feel like the interest is there. Philly is a great football city. It would be a nice landing spot.”
While Aiyuk certainly has talent, he may be a bit of a reach in the first round for the Eagles, especially given how deep this draft class is at wideout.
The 22-year-old underwent core muscle surgery earlier this month, and at that point, he was only considered a fringe first-round pick to begin with.

At 6-foot-1, 205 pounds, Aiyuk has decent size, but he only has mediocre speed, as he ran a 4.5-second 40-yard dash at the Scouting Combine.
With DeSean Jackson being injury-prone and Alshon Jeffery potentially on his way out of Philly, the Eagles could really use a game-breaker, and it remains to be seen if Aiyuk is that guy.
The Eagles went 9-7 and captured the NFC East division title this past season. They were then eliminated by the Seattle Seahawks in the Wild Card Round of the playoffs.
