The Philadelphia Eagles are coming off of their much needed Week 14 bye. They are set to host the Washington Football Team at Lincoln Financial Field for Week 15. There are a lot of different components that will greatly impact this football game. Injuries, COVID-19, and home field advantage all point to an Eagles' victory — but it won't be an easy one. Let's break down our Eagles Week 15 predictions for the NFC East matchup.

Eagles Week 15 Predictions

4- Jalen Hurts will throw the ball more

Although it isn't his usual style of quarterback, expect to see Hurts utilize his arm more than his legs this Sunday. Why? Well there's two reasons.

For more insight on the Eagles' Week 15 matchup against Washington, listen below:

One, he is coming off of an ankle injury. While he has been a mobile quarterback all year, it is smarter to play it safe and remain in the pocket if he wants to be healthy for a potential playoff run.

Two, Hurts sat on the sidelines in the Eagles' Week 13 matchup against the Jets, watching Gardner Minshew chew apart the Jets' defense with a dominating air game. He threw for 242 yards and two touchdowns, securing the Eagles' victory. That being said, Hurts is going to want to prove that his air game is just as successful as his ground game to avoid another ridiculous quarterback controversy.

3- Lots of receiving touchdowns from the Birds

What goes hand-in-hand with a dominant air game? That's right, lots and lots of receiving touchdowns. Again, not Hurts' usual style when it comes to putting up points. However, there are two guys that you can count on for at least one touchdown each on Sunday.

In Week 13, tight end Dallas (the only Dallas that we appreciate in Philadelphia) Goedert popped off. He doubled his touchdown count on the year to four, with 106 receiving yards. If Goedert continues to find space down the field, it's almost a guarantee that Hurts will find him in the end zone.

Don't forget about rookie Heisman Trophy winner Devonta Smith. The wide receiver is known in Philadelphia for breaking out of tight coverage, making him a perfect candidate for long passes. In his first year, Smith has 50 receptions for a total of 701 yards and four touchdowns. Expect him to drastically increase those numbers on Sunday.

2- Multiple interceptions

Due to a large amount of holes in Washington's offense, expect to see drastic mistakes on their end. Quarterback Taylor Heinicke could be missing key targets due to injuries, as well as offensive linemen due to COVID-19.

Wide receiver Terry McLaurin and running back J.D. McKissic are both questionable for Week 15 due to concussions. If they are unavailable, less experienced players will replace them, increasing the chance of interceptions.

The Washington Football Team is one of many teams in the NFL greatly struggling with COVID-19. Thursday, starting center Tyler Larsen, as well as back-up Keith Ismael, were placed on the COVID-19 list. Without the proper protection from his offensive line, Heinicke is bound to scramble and make mistakes, making an interception inevitable.

1- A high scoring Eagles win

At the end of the ball game, expect to see the score in favor of the Eagles…by a lot. I'm convinced that the Birds will dominate this football game and win by at least two possessions. Smith and Goedert should each find themselves in the end zone at least once, and there's always the possibility of a Darius Slay pick six. The Washington Football Team will be able to come up with a few scores, but not enough. Boldest prediction yet: Eagles win 31-17.
