The Pittsburgh Steelers will be watching the NFL Playoffs from their homes for the first time since the 2013-14 campaign, but wide receiver Antonio Brown probably has more to think about than any of his teammates.

After a tumultuous final week of the season that included a heated dispute with Ben Roethlisberger, an injury that some teammates were skeptical of and a benching in Week 17, the relationship between Brown and the Steelers seems to be at an all-time low.

With an offseason trade possible, the 30-year-old is exploring his options, according to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk.

Here is the thing: Brown is under contract for the next three years and can make up to $39 million during that time, so it's not like he is a man without a country. If he can somehow patch things up with Mike Tomlin and the team, he can return for 2019.

However, given his current fractured relationship with Pittsburgh, that's easier said than done. So, if he wants, he can ask for a trade.

Of course, the Steelers don't have to grant Brown's potential wish to move on, but you would think they would prefer to deal him than deal with the likely headache of having the flamboyant wide out cause problems in the locker room throughout next season.

Here is the problem, though: if Pittsburgh trades Brown, he will account for over $21 million in dead money, meaning the Steelers would essentially be wasting a good chunk of money for a guy who isn't even on the team anymore.

Still, if another club comes along and offers something substantial, the Steelers may be willing to bite the bullet and deal with the financial repercussions.
