The Pittsburgh Steelers looked terrible in Week 1 against the New England Patriots, but Ben Roethlisberger is trying to make sure everyone doesn't panic. On Monday, Roethlisberger talked to his teammates and reminded everyone it was only Week 1, and they get to play again on Sunday.
“I said [on Monday], ‘Hey guys, look up,'” Roethlisberger said Wednesday via ESPN. “‘The sun's still shining. The sky's still blue. The best thing is we still get to play on Sunday.' It's Week 1.”
Even though it was a blowout loss, Roethlisberger thinks it's only small changes that need to be made to get back on the right track.
“It's not like all of a sudden we have to go back to the drawing board,” Roethlisberger said. ” … It's just, we all need to, starting with myself, play better. It's nothing drastic on anybody's plate. It's just little things here and little things there.”
One of the significant issues for the offense was the team struggled to move the ball, and Roethlisberger put those struggles on him.

Wide receiver Donte Moncrief needs to be a big part of the offense going forward, and Roethlisberger still has confidence in him, even though he had four drops against the Patriots.
“I don't think about, ‘Oh man, did this guy make this play or didn't make that play?' Because to me, we all kind of have a clean slate every week,” Roethlisberger said.
The Steelers schedule doesn't get any easier this week as they have to host the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday afternoon.
