The Pittsburgh Steeles snuck into the playoffs by the skin of their teeth, but they'll have a tall task ahead as the Kansas City Chiefs await in the AFC Wild Card Round. Of course, the Steelers were absolutely demolished by Patrick Mahomes and Co. in Week 16, losing 36-10.
Head coach Mike Tomlin spoke on Tuesday about how his team can improve from their last meeting with KC.
Tomlin on facing the Chiefs again: "We've got to be better this time than the last time we saw them."
Says they've got to better with protecting the ball — can't put them on a short field.

The Steelers fumbled the ball twice for loss in that game and really didn't do themselves any favors. Overall, it was a sloppy performance and if Pittsburgh plays like that again, it's going to be a nightmare. Tomlin knows the mistakes must be limited against an elite team like the Chiefs:
Tomlin: "You can't turn the ball over in this environment and expect to be competitive." Notes the Steelers were minus-3 in that factor the last time and it led to 17 KC points.

Playing at Arrowhead Stadium won't be easy for the Steelers and clearly, a lot of adjustments will need to be made. Three turnovers (1 INT, 2 fumbles) turned into 17 points for the Chiefs and they are undoubtedly going to make Pittsburgh pay if that happens again.
Nevertheless, Ben Roethlisberger and the Steelers will be looking for the upset as Big Ben heads into what could very well be his last game with the franchise. Against a KC defense that is average against the run, Najee Harris will likely be very busy.
