Just because Antonio Brown may want to be traded does not mean the Pittsburgh Steelers are going to follow through.

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Steelers are not currently allowing Brown to seek a trade, as more momentum seems to be building that Brown will be back in Pittsburgh next season.

While nothing is guaranteed, both Brown and the Steelers organization seem to be softening their stances on one another, as Brown has reportedly maintained contact with people within the organization whom he trusts and Steelers owner Art Rooney II seems open to the idea of the star wide receiver returning in 2019.

In the week leading up to the season finale, Brown got into a heated dispute with Ben Roethlisberger that apparently ended in Brown throwing a football at the quarterback. Brown then refused to practice, complained of knee pain but refused to go for an MRI and went AWOL on the team before consequently getting benched by head coach Mike Tomlin for the Steelers' Week 17 game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
