When it was known Le'Veon Bell would not be around for the season opener, some members of the Pittsburgh Steelers' offensive line made it clear they were not happy with their star running back.

Now that the rumors suggest Bell will return to the team during Week 7, some of the Steelers seem to be backtracking on some of their comments.

Steelers right tackle Marcus Gilbert said it was “music to his ears” to be getting Bell back, but he still seems to have some questions about the holdout.

“But I wish we could have him back today,” Gilbert said, via Joe Rutter of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. “Why’s he taking so long? . . . Why wouldn’t he come back here and be around the guys and see us in the eye? I don’t know. I know we’re all waiting on him.”

Center Maurkice Pouncey is ready for the star running back to be helping the team and made sure it was clear Bell still had support in the locker room.

“We love Le’Veon,” Pouncey said. “Sometimes, I think that gets misconstrued, how much we care about him. We all want the best for him. People take things the wrong way sometimes, and we’re totally fine with him.”

Guard David DeCastro didn't sound so confident Bell would show up, though, and said he will believe it when he sees it.

“If he’s not here, he’s not here. I’ll believe it when I see it,” DeCastro said. “We’ll go with who we’ve got this week, and when he comes back, he comes back.”

Winning can cure all, and if Bell helps his team win, everything should be okay.
