It is no secret that the Pittsburgh Steelers have been in a must-win situation over the past several weeks. Unfortunately, they may be without wide receiver Antonio Brown in the 2018 NFL regular-season finale.

Brown has been nursing a knee injury he suffered versus the New Orleans Saints last week. Head coach Mike Tomlin indicated that he is still questionable for Sunday, via Teresa Varley of the team website:

“Coming out of the game AB was experiencing some knee discomfort,” Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said. “I gave him a vet day on Wednesday. He got in here yesterday and didn’t feel comfortable enough to do it. We sent him for tests today. We’ll get the results of those tests and have more information. He is a veteran player. If he gets better not a lot of physical repetitions needed to perform. We’ll see where all of that goes.”

The update from Tomlin is certainly not an encouraging one. This is a crucial week for the Steelers as they hope the stars align for them to make it to the postseason. First and foremost, they will need to secure a win over the Cincinnati Bengals. It will be much more difficult to do without their All-Pro wideout.

Brown is coming off his best performance of the 2018 campaign with a monstrous outing versus the Saints. He finished with 14 receptions for 185 yards and two touchdowns. Although he has experienced a bit of a down year in terms of production, he showed why he is still widely considered the best receiver in the NFL.
