The Baltimore Ravens are in the thick of the playoff race gunning for one of the final wildcard spots heading into their Week 16 matchup against the Indianapolis Colts.

According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the Ravens will be without the services of former Pro Bowl wide receiver Jeremy Maclin for Saturday's game.

This designation shouldn't come as much of a surprise given that he had not practiced all week due to the knee injury. Maclin has been dogged by injuries throughout this season despite being able to play in 12 of the first 14 games of the season.

The 29-year-old in his first year with the Ravens has struggled to provide consistent production in the passing game making 40 receptions on 72 targets for 440 receiving yards with three touchdowns. He has failed to crack 50 receiving yards in all but three times this season while registering a touchdown in only three games. In fact, Maclin has experienced a notable drop in production over the last two seasons from his back-to-back campaigns with at least 85 catches and 1,000 receiving yards.

Much of this has been due to the inconsistency that Joe Flacco has had throwing the ball, but Maclin has played a significant factor in that as well. He could still make a return in the season finale next Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals, especially if a trip to the playoffs is still hanging in the balance.
