When it comes to toughness, one should look no further than Washington Redskins left tackle Trent Williams.
According to an article by Master Testfatsion of the Washington Post, the five-time Pro Bowler said that he would play the rest of this season on his injured right knee no matter what happens the rest of the way.
“I still think there’s some merit to me finishing out this season, regardless if we’re in playoff contention or not,” Williams said. “There’s still some outstanding opponents that I would like to go up against, like [Broncos pass rusher] Von Miller. Even the guys from the Chargers with [Melvin] Ingram and [Joey] Bosa — those guys are tearing it up right now. They’re probably the two best pass rushers on one team.”
Once the season is over, his knee injury is going to require offseason surgery no matter what.

“I always like going up against good opponents, because you get a measuring stick of who you are,” Williams said. “I still think there’s merit in going up against those types of guys. That’s my mind frame. I’m trying to make the best out of any situation.”
Williams and the Redskins (5-6) have a crucial primetime contest with huge playoff implications this weekend when they visit their NFC East rival Dallas Cowboys (5-6) for Thursday Night Football.
