It's the home stretch of the NFL season, and the San Francisco 49ers are locked in a tight race for an NFC Wild Card spot. At 8 – 6, the team needs every single break to go their way in these final weeks. However, another injury to their defensive crew could make the difference for the team.

It was announced that nose tackle DJ Jones is questionable for their game against the Tennessee Titans. This report came after the 49ers DT suffered an ankle injury in the game. (via Cam Inman)

The 49ers have one of the best pass rushes in the NFL today. Nick Bosa might be the name everyone is most familiar with this season, but every member of that defensive line has done a tremendous job in keeping their team in games. DJ Jones' stats aren't as eye-popping as Bosa's, but he does a solid job with his role.

The 49ers currently sit with the second wild card spot in the AFC, and they have stiff competition to beat in that category. The Vikings, Eagles, and the Saints are just below them with a 7-7 record, while Washington and the Falcons trail with a 6 – 8 record. A loss or two could prove to be disastrous for the 49ers playoff aspirations.

Hopefully, the 49ers get a relatively healthy roster for this final stretch of games in the regular season. Jones might not be a superstar player, but in a game where every piece needs to be playing at full strength, the team will most definitely need him when the time comes.
